harp at the bedside

Harp at the Bedside sessions are a form of harp therapy designed for critically ill and ageing people. I like to describe them as a form of pastoral care through music, that can improve the wellbeing of a patient on an emotional, spiritual and physical level.

Harp therapy can reduce stress, relax muscles, lower high blood pressure, regulate breathing and activate the production of endorphins.

The Harp at the Bedside service is perfect for patients in the following settings:

  • Hospital
  • Neonatal units
  • Nursing homes
  • Palliative care
  • People being cared for at home

Sessions start at $80 per hour, though concessions are available. Sessions held beyond 70 km from Ararat may attract a small travel fee.
